Muslim Brotherhood in the White House?

Muslim Brotherhood — precursor of Al-Qaeda — is taking the lead both in Egyptian politics and in Washington.

Arab Spring is far from being over, but we may already conclude that radical Islamic groups (especially the famous Muslim Brotherhood) has profiteered the most on it. Rapidly building up influence of the Brotherhood in such countries like Egypt, Tunisia, Libya, Syria and Jordan is no longer a secret. However, its penetration into the so-called countries of well-established democracy is not that obvious for the masses. Former FBI special agent John Guandolo believes that “their goal is to manipulate and collect information”. According to him, their henchmen have found backdoors even to Washington corridors of power.

In his CBN interview Guandolo stated:

“Influence of the Muslim Brotherhood is already perceptible not just in the White House, but throughout all the administration departments, including security services and even the State Department. They attempt to seat their people to the operative positions and even to the vital decision-making posts. ISNA (Islamic Society of North America) plays the crucial role in the process”.

As far back as in 2007 ISNA was deemed responsible for funding terrorism. FBI found out that the Muslim Brotherhood used to name it a friendly organization and a subsidiary of theirs. When in 2009 President Obama asked the Muslim priest to take part in the prayers for his inauguration, his staff employees approached the ISNA President Ingrid Mattson with that request. Its current President, Mohammed Majid, was seated facing the U.S. President during the solemn Ramadan dinner. However, as Patrick Pool (expert on terrorism) reported, his name did not appear in the list of the other President’s guests. Yet another organization of American Muslims connected to the Brotherhood is the CAIR (Council on American Islamic Relations). FBI believes CAIR to be involved into the funding of terrorism as well, but one of Obama’s counselors has recently praised it for cooperation with the U.S. administration.

In 2010 Kifah Mustafa, one of the Brotherhood agents, was invited to have a tour of the FBI headquarters and then the one around National Counter-Terrorism Center. According to Patrick Pool, goal of the Muslim Brotherhood is “to infiltrate all branches of power and civil society in order to destroy America from the inside”.

Obama’s Office seemingly considers the Muslim Brotherhood an ideal partner for its policy of establishing a relationship with the Muslim world. In the beginning of last year James Clapper, Head of the U.S. National Intelligence made the following statement:

“A broad variety of movements are labeled as the Muslim Brotherhood, while in case of Egypt this name is used to describe a patchy (and mostly secular) alignment, whose members have denounced violent actions”.

It is quite surprising to see such highly qualified intelligence expert (which General Clapper undoubtedly is) being so poorly-aware of this notorious terrorist organization, acting worldwide. In the due time it has arranged the assassination attempt of Egyptian President Gamal Abdel Nasser and now it openly stands up against the Syrian government. Mind that the decree of Russian Supreme Court dated by Feb 13, 2004 proclaimed it a terrorist organization, which activity at Russian territory was deemed illegal. Here’s an excerpt from the definition used by the Supreme Court:

“Muslim Brotherhood (al-ʾIḫwān al-Muslimūn) is an organization that rests upon the ideas of its leaders and theoreticians Hossan al-Banna and Sayyid Qutb. Its goal is the elimination of non-Islamic governments and the establishment of Islamic rule worldwide through the global restoration of ‘Great Islamic Caliphate’ (starting with the regions of mostly Muslim population, including Russia and the CIS countries). In a number of Middle-Eastern countries (Syria, Jordan) it is banned. Main fields of activity are: bellicose Islamic propaganda overlaid by intolerance towards other religions, active recruitment of the supporters in the mosques and armed jihad unrestrained with geographic borders”.

White House administration openly declares its cooperation with the Brotherhood in Egypt. Now it was seemingly decided to extend the cooperation with this organization in the USA. Alas, a notorious example of Al-Qaeda, which was actually funded with the money of American taxpayers to counter Soviet Army in Afghanistan, taught American special services nothing. Brothers craftily use American civil institutions to infiltrate the USA, but I doubt that their goal is to improve American democracy and the positions of American Muslims.

Democracy is vulnerable for this exact reason — it allows the legitimization of any political movement, once it upkeeps the veneer of obeying the rules of democratic “game”. The world still remembers the completely legitimate coming of German Nazi into power in 1933. Josef Goebbels, future Third Reich Minister of Propaganda said then:

“We enter the Reichstag to arm ourselves with democracy's weapons. If democracy is foolish enough to give us free railway passes and salaries — that is its problem. It does not concern us. Any way of bringing about the revolution is fine by us. If we succeed in getting sixty or seventy of our party's agitators and organizers elected to the various parliaments, the state itself will pay for our fighting organization. We come as enemies! As the wolf attacks the sheep, so come we.”

It seems that American democracy is barely smarter than the German one was.
